Alliance for Spay-Neuter and Pet Rescue
Who We Are:
Concerned and caring animal lovers who could not overlook that animals were being destroyed needlessly, established Alliance for Spay-Neuter & Pet Rescue in 2004. We are a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt, non-profit organization, operated by volunteers. The animals you see on this site are in or have come from the Monroe County Animal Control shelter in Monroe, MI
Our Mission * To help improve conditions at the Monroe County Animal Control shelter.
* Find a new loving family or an established/reputable rescue group to adopt/foster an animal and have that animal's best interest at heart.
* Educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter to control the pet population. It is the ONLY solution to reduce the number of unwanted/abandoned animals who are needlessly euthanized.
Did you know... that if 92% of all dogs and cats were spayed or neutered the remaing 8% could provide enough puppies and kittens for the entire world!
An average of 575 homeless dogs and cats are still being euthanized every hour at shelters across the nation.
Female cats reach sexual maturity between 6 and 10 months. In 7 yrs., a female cat and her offspring could theoretically produce 420,000 cat!
